Paddocks offers a delightful blend of value and comfort, tucked away in a serene locale. The staff was particularly accommodating, quickly arranging a meal for our unexpected guest. A special mention for the multi-tasking bar man/waiter who juggled requests with poise. The recently refurbished room boasted decent views-while obscured by trees, the ambiance was still inviting. The comfortable bed and high-quality linens certainly made for a restful night. Breakfast was commendable, presenting a mix of continental options alongside freshly cooked dishes, which set a nice tone for the day. One noteworthy feature is the garden, well-maintained, offering tranquil spots perfect for birdwatching. A generous parking policy adds to the hotel's appeal, with a permit provided conveniently upon check-in. While a stay here might not break the bank, it offers a reasonable alternative to pricier options, striking a commendable balance between luxury and practicality.
